So, today Chris was off and we wanted to get some adoption paperwork done. We first stopped to get some papers notarized, then dropped off paperwork at Chris's doctor. They marked out a word and had to redo the medical form. We had our USCIS bio-metrics (fingerprint background check with FBI, I think) scheduled for this Thursday, but since Chris was already off and we were down there to get some notary signatures certified, we thought we'd walk in and try to mark the bio-metrics off our list. Success! They said it was a bad time to come, but if we were able to wait 40 minutes for the 4 people ahead of us, then we could do the appointment today. In 20 minutes we were done! Now, we just wait for that approval.
Also today while Chris was redo-ing our home ownership paper downtown and I was getting paperwork certified, I was sworn in to be a notary. For those who don't know, that's in the same room downtown. I was feeling super accomplished. All the while, my co-op leadership team were working to complete some class changes while I was focusing on our kids in Eastern Europe. Way to go, ladies! I so appreciate their help in making our co-op run smoothly! After our paperwork was certified, Chris and I had a late lunch together and picked up our kids at my parents.
Don't ya just love a productive day!
