Mamoo: "Lili, so, do you want another baby in the house?"
Lili: "Yes, I do, but it's hard on Momma to grow another one."
This blessing of ours has come such a long way, to put it lightly. To think that she is so pleasant and always thinking of me and Daddy is a million miles of progress. I'm so blessed to get to be a part of her growth!
Elisa comments about my cleaning the counters: "WHOAAAA - OH. MY. DOODNESS! Momma's cleanin' the counters!!! That's a little tid (kid) job. MOMMA! You're a BIG TID (kid)!"
**This must be said with as much enthusiasm as you can push out!
This blessing of ours has also come so far. There is more progress to be made, but the funnies that come out of her mouth sure make up for the difficult times. Another such comment from yesterday after she took a hard fall and her head hit a boy's head and then the floor: "Momma, your tisses (kisses) make the hurt go away. You tiss and the hurt just goes away like way fast, Momma. It just is gone now!"
So, today I found an article that I wanted to share: http://adoption.com/5-things-know-orphanage-life-affects-children. We've experienced all of this, as well as some huge progress in all of it. Our kids will tell us when we leave them in their classes at church or at my parents house for a doctor's visit, "Momma, I know you are coming back. You don't need to tell us again. We know. You always come back." Getting to personally witness such redemption on a daily basis is one of the greatest blessings in our journey.
